What is Uneek Technologies?

One workshop. Three specialised brands. Over a decade on the ground.

Uneek Technologies is the Australian family business behind Uneek Poultry, Uneek LEDs and Uneek Automation. We design, build, sell, and support specialised gear for the people who actually use it — backyard breeders, hobby farmers, equestrian property owners, rural blocks, and small commercial operators.

Andrew founded each of our brands a few years apart, every time for the same reason: he needed something the market wasn't offering. Solar outdoor lighting that actually survived the bush came first, then proper incubators with the parts, range and support the country wasn't getting. A few years on, the gate automation work he'd been doing alongside the lighting grew big enough to deserve its own house — Uneek Automation, with its own team. The thread that runs through all three: gear that's been thought through by someone who lives with the same problems you do.

We're based in Wonthaggi, Victoria. We answer our own phone, we hatch our own eggs, we install our own gates, and we don't ship anything we wouldn't run on our own property.

Each Uneek brand started the same way — Andrew running into a problem on his own property that the existing options couldn't fix. Here are the three stories, in the order they happened.

Uneek LEDs

Since 2013

The light that wouldn't last the winter.

I needed proper outdoor lighting for the property — an arena, the sheds, the driveway. The off-the-shelf solar lights I tried kept dying after one season. The ones that survived were grid-tied and needed an electrician to even install.

So we built it. So we built a line of solar-powered fixtures designed for the conditions that destroy imports. No trenching, no electrician, no monthly power bill. Today Uneek LEDs lights everything from a single equine arena to full mine sites — all Australian-tuned for the way our properties actually run.

Uneek Poultry

Since 2020

The incubator that wasn't being made.

As I got serious about breeding poultry, I wanted a proper incubator setup for my own birds — and the ones available in Australia weren't being supported properly. Spare parts were a battle. Calibration was a guess. Service was an email into the void.

So we built it. So I started sourcing the brands that did it right, importing them into Australia, supporting them locally myself. Then we built our own Origin Series alongside the European brands. Today Uneek Poultry stocks the largest range of incubators in the country — and the workshop in Wonthaggi services every one of them.

Uneek Automation

Since 2022

The side work that needed its own house.

Uneek LEDs had been doing gate automation work alongside the lighting installs for years — customers kept asking for the full package, and the team had got really good at it. By 2022 the automation side had grown past being a side.

So we built it. So we spun it out as Uneek Automation — its own brand, its own team, its own dedicated customer support, with parts and remote help across Australia. Lights stayed with Uneek LEDs; gates moved into the new house, and both got the focus they deserved.
